Our opponents batted first and were dismissed for the small total of 38. This was due to fine bowling by H. T. O. Smith (6 wickets for 9 runs), and T. R. Kirkpatrick (4 wickets for 24 runs). H. F. Green held three good catches at mid-off.

The Bank opened cautiously, but on passing our opponents' total some bright batting was seen, J. B. Parker (45), T. R. Kirkpatrick (25), F. Footit (23), and T. A. Starling (20), being the top scorers in a total of 155.
