Batting first, the Bank scored confidently, J. B. Parker (34), F. Footit (34), and H. T. O. Smith (36) putting on 104 for the first three wickets. Subsequently a collapse by the remainder of the side resulted in the small total 175, H. F. Green (17) and T. A. Starling (17 not out) putting on 22 for the last wicket.

Our opponents could not stand up to H. T. O. Smith, who bowled much better than his figures (3 wickets for 40 runs) would suggest. Owing to rain, the game was unfinished, our opponents totalling 123 for 8 wickets.
