The Bank provided the opposition on the second day of Spencer's "week," and won an interesting match by 53 runs. Batting first, the Bank lost wickets at fairly regular intervals, but useful scores by Smith, Williams, and Mills gave us a final total of 165.

Spencer never really mastered the Bank's attack, which was backed up by good all-round fielding, and were dismissed half an hour before time for 112.
